Benefit Concert and Award Show Will Be Hosted by David Keith, Actor and Tennessee Native

NASHVILLE, TN-July 29, 2009—Power Source Music Group announces that the 15th Annual Inspirational Country Music Awards Show (ICM Awards) will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2009, at 7 PM CST at the Trinity Music City USA Auditorium located in Hendersonville, Tennessee.

Power Source also announces the addition of the ICM Week Celebrity Golf Tournament & Benefit Concert to be held on Monday, October 12 at the Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club in Hendersonville with the benefit concert at Trinity Music City USA that night. All proceeds from the both the golf tournament and benefit concert, along with help from Midland Radio, will go towards the purchases of potentially life saving emergency weather radios for residents of Sumner County. The annual Inspirational Country Music Awards are dedicated to honoring and showcasing the biggest names and emerging talent among artists who perform Christian and Inspirational Country music. Executive Director, Jason Higgins, also announces that David Keith, Actor and Tennessee native will host the benefit concert as well as the ICM Awards show. In addition, he announces that Multi-platinum recording artist Ricky Skaggs & The Whites will be performing. Also the Cherryholmes and current ICM Entertainer of the year CrossCountry the Band are slated as the first performers added to the show.

Previous show performers and presenters have included: Collin Raye, Ricky Skaggs, Tracy Lawrence, Natalie Grant with Wynonna, Charlie Daniels, Andy Griggs, Lonestar, Jamie O’Neal, Josh Turner, Lee Greenwood, Emerson Drive, Richie McDonald, Linda Davis, Diamond Rio, Brian Littrell, Randy Owen, The Isaacs, Point of Grace, Phil Stacey, Melanie Walker, Jeff Bates, Tammy Cochran, Del Way and many more. Additional performers will be announced in the coming months.

In addition, the Christian Country Music Association is proud to announce that TCT Networks, The Worship Network, Cornerstone TeleVision, NRB Network, My Family TV, CTS Television Canada, Angel Two Network, Total Living Network, Golden Eagle Broadcasting (Oral Roberts University) and DayStar Television Network will be airing this year’s ICM Awards!

About David Keith
Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, David Keith has appeared in 100-plus film projects including: INDEPENDENCE DAY, FIRESTARTER, Elvis Presley in HEARTBREAK HOTEL, (he sung the role himself), MAJOR LEAGUE II, THE INDIAN IN THE CUPBOARD, U-571, MEN OF HONOR, BEHIND ENEMY LINES, and DAREDEVIL. His performance in AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN earned two Golden Globe nominations.

As Campaign Chairman for The National Association to Protect Children (www.protect.org) David has helped draft and pass legislation in several states to help protect children from child molesters. In Washington he helped draft and pass the PROTECT Our Children Act of 2008 which wages a $1 billion war on child predators. David maintains his residence in his hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee with his family, following University of Tennessee Volunteer sports and playing music.

The Inspirational Country Music Convention and Awards Show is a yearly event that draws music fans, broadcast media (radio, print, and TV) and the industries top artists to Nashville to showcase music and to discuss industry related issues. The member-voted ICM Awards Show is the keynote event of Inspirational Country Week, slated for October 11-15, in Nashville, TN.
